Một vài PHRASAL VERB hữu ích về học tập và làm việc

1. figure out: think about somebody/something until you understand them/it or find the answer (hiểu, luận ra, đoán ra)

Example:

- I tried different jobs when I was a student because I wanted to figure myself out.

- It took him a lot of time to figure out how to solve this problem.

2. turn in: to submit (paperwork, homework, assignments) (trả lại, nộp lại)

Example:

- I have to turn in this essay by this Friday.

- Did you turn in the homework that Professor John gave us on Monday?

3. catch on: to understand something/become aware of something (hiểu được, nắm được)

Example:

- Tim is very intelligent so he can quickly catch on to new knowledge.

4. fall behind: fail to do something fast enough or on time (thụt lùi, bị tụt lại phía sau)

Example:

- He was ill for several weeks and fell behind compared to his friends.

- Our project has been fallen behind because of this pandemic.

5. keep up with: to move, make progress or increase at the same rate as somebody/something (theo kịp)

Example:

- Technology changes so fast that it’s hard to keep up with it.

- Tom needs to practice more to keep up with his teammate’s speed.

6. bring up: to mention a subject or start to talk about it (đưa ra/nêu ra (vấn đề))

Example:

- I think we should bring this problem up at the meeting.

7. clock in/out: to record the time you begin/end work (ghi giờ đến làm/ra về)

Example:

- We have to clock in at 7 a.m. every weekday.
