Phân biệt số ít và số nhiều đối với danh từ

DANH TỪ (NOUNS) Lưu ý: Danh từ đếm được (countable nouns) có thể ở số ít hoặc số nhiều, danh từ không đếm được (uncountable nouns) luôn ở số ít.
	Danh từ số ít (singular nouns)	Danh từ số nhiều (plural nouns)
	Danh từ số ít (singular nouns)	Có quy tắc (regular) + s/es	Đặc biệt (irregular)
Danh từ đếm được (countable nouns)	1. student/ teacher	→ students/ teachers	X
	2. table/ chair	→ tables/ chairs	X
	3. family/ party	→ families/ parties	X
	4. video/ bamboo/ zoo	→ videos/ bamboos/ zoos	Lưu ý: “O” có thể được thêm “s” hoặc “es” tùy từng từ cụ thể v→ người học cần tích lũy.
	5. potato/ hero/ echo/ mango	→ potatoes/ heroes/ echoes/ mangos (mangoes)
	6. shrimp/ buffalo	→ shrimps/ buffaloes	→ shrimp/ buffalo
	7. person	→ persons	→ people
	8. index/ appendix/ penny	→ indexes/ appendixes/ pennies	→ indices/ appendices/ pence
	9. man/ woman/ child/ foot/ tooth	X	→ men/ women/ children/ feet/ teeth
	10. deer/ sheep/ fish	X	→ deer/ sheep/ fish (fishes: các lo→i cá)
	12. mouse/ goose	X	→ mice/ geese
	12. ox	X	→ oxen
	13. fungus/ cactus	X	→ fungi/ cacti
